Level Two or Three Response

During level two or three response, generally a reception centre and/or group lodging facility are activated. The following organization charts show level two or three ESS response structures with functions that can be activated to assist evacuees. Keep in mind that one responder can perform more than one function, for example, if there is a medium sized response, half of the below functions are activated, and seven ESS team members are called out, they can perform all the functions that are activated.

For full descriptions of these functions, please refer to either EMBC’s RC/GL Operational Guidelines or the JIBC’s EMRG-1610 Introduction to RC and/or EMRG-1612 Introduction to GL courses.
